You do not have to spend a load of money on presents this Mothers Day, most people just want to know that they are loved and appreciated. So this year lets say Thank You Mum in a personal and inexpensive way. No matter if you are 5 or 50 the women who raised you will love these thank you notes.
All you need is:
* News paper to cover your table
* Apron (if you are worried about your clothes)
* PVA glue (glue sticks and double-sided tape can also work)
* Card (thick paper will also work, just needs to be thick enough to take glue and glitter)
* Cocktail stick (but you can use a chop stick, paint brush or your finger)
* Glitter
* Pen
* Pencil
* Sicky Tape
* Ribbon (or strips of paper or fabric)
* Scissors
Lay out your neswpaper and place your card, glue and chosen glitter on the table.
You can draw out your design first or just make it up as you go. Here I have used a chop stick. I dipped the stick in the glue then make circle
flower designes.
Then shake the glitter over the glue.
Shake off the excess on to paper. Working on one colour at a time.
Poor the excess glitter back in to the pot.
If you want rainbow glitter, mix all the colours together before putting them back in to the pots.
Once your cards are dry, turn each card over and stick your ribbon on so they can be hung up.
Turn your cards back over and write your messages. Dot the cards around the house so your Mum (or whoever you think of as Mum) can come across them throughout the day.
