I taught a workshop in Jewellery Making for complete beginners. Working with different abilities, all made fabulous jewellery and had lots of fun. Just by using a simple loop and connect technique so much can be achieved.

Two sterling silver hearts, one with a matt finish and the child name with a tiny heart and the second framed the name with its polished beaten finish. Todays Funky Rings sparked the madness in imagination. So much consentration, sorting through the glass beads to star shapped buttons. We didn’t just decorate pre-made rings, I showed the class how to make the shanks from stratch.

In my Make A Bag workshop there were some wonderful creations. Some took inspiration from my samples, some went straight for their own crazy designs. Fabulous!!! So much consentration went on tiny bags, the room was full of colour and glitter.

Todays workshop was Mini Pics. Using drawing techniques to create small works of art. These were then made in to magnets or picture stands. One participant said she could only copy and not make up things. She ended up designing her own logo. I’m so pleased for her.

It’s that time of year again. I have designed fabulous ‘Funky Woodland Folk’ costumes to go in to this years Festival of Lights. My costumes are for Unity 70 so I have been making the costumes to fit all. Today I started to make a tutus. Such Fun.

The sun was shining and the creativity was flowing. Todays workshop was Wire Work. Manipulating colourful wires in to shapes and designs to create works of art. Some made jewellery while others made thoughtful gifts for the home.

Today’s workshop was lots of fun. I cut out a flat bag pattern and everyone made little bags. At first look these bags have no use but they have been used for make-up, batteries, sweets, medication and to hold gifts.  

Don’t hold it in, take out fustration on the metal. The Metal Stamping workshop was a great way to have fun and release fustration. So cleansing!!
